Girl Ballet Clothes

If you have started your child in ballet, you will need to find some good girl's ballet clothes. In most basic ballet classes, small children will wear a pink leotard, pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Each of these items are quite affordable and easily found. If you have trouble finding the ballet slippers you may have to shop online for the best price. Ballet for young children can be a positive, enriching and fun activity. It is a wonderful way for children to gain confidence and have a sense of achievement. Allowing your child the benefit of dressing the part will contribute to their confidence as a ballerina and make learning ballet a fun activity they will look forward to every week.

Learning ballet is also a fitness class where students will gain flexibility and strength. There will be running and jumping and stretching and they will need to be wearing something thing that does not inhibit movement but allows maximum performance ability.

How to Buy a Girls Dance Leotard

Determine what your needs are in buying a girls leotard. This might be for a dance class, dance performance, or even for work-out attire. Once you have determined your purpose, you can move on to deciding what type of fabric or material your leotard should be made of. There are many selections to pick from, such as cotton, lycra and spandex. Also, consider if your leotard selection needs to have a built in bra or extra lining. Consider the style of child leotard you will purchase to make sure that it has the support and style for the type of activity it will be worn for.

Check with dancewear or fitness retailers. These are found in malls, shopping centers, work-out facilities, dance studios and booths set up at dance workshops and conventions. These retailers will have large selections of basic toddler leotards for the young dancer and are even more advanced leotards for the older girl.

Ask your dance instructor to help you select a leotard to order from one of their dancewear catalogs. These can usually be shipped anywhere from overnight to several weeks, depending upon how much you want to spend and how soon you will need the leotard. If you are buying leotards for an entire group, ordering through your dance director is usually the best way to handle a large purchase.

Search online or the Internet to find dancewear or fitness retailers to order online and have your leotard purchase shipped directly to your door step.

Tootsies Children Dancewear has been selling girls dance leotards online since 2002 and in its retail store, Tootsies Stride Rite, since 1985. For more information about Tootsies, simply click on our store name, Tootsies Children Dancewear.

What your child should wear to ballet class?

When deciding what your child should wear to ballet class, keep the following in mind: comfort and simplicity. The clothes she wears to practice ballet must allow her to move and stretch easily. Her ballet clothing must also be tight enough for the teacher to check her body alignment during certain movements. Keep in mind, most ballet teachers prefer dancers to wear a cover-up of some sort to and from the studio. This is as simple as a pair of dance pants or a dance skirt paired with a crossover sweater or a sweatshirt worn over your leotard. Also, never wear girl ballet shoes as street shoes. Slip on a pair of sneakers or flip-flops instead, in order to prolong the life of your child ballet shoes.A simple child leotard and a pair of children dance tights is the best thing to wear to class. Leotards are available in several colors and designs, including sleeveless, short sleeved and long sleeved. Young dancers delight in wearing small dance skirts and tutus over their leotards, but most teachers discourage spending for additional items.
