You will need the following toddler dancewear items, toddler ballet shoes, toddler leotards and toddler tights. It is not hard to find these items and if you do a little research, you can save alot of money overtime. It is amazing what a little bit of searching will do for your bank account!
When you think about the supplies that you will need, you think basics, but there are other things to consider too. Aside from the normal shoes, and dance clothes, you should really be thinking about items like tape, and wraps. Sounds silly I know, but you will at one point need these things.
When putting together a kit, or bag of things needed for dance class make sure you included a lot of different stuff, like and extra pair of shoes, extra leotards, extra tights, basically an extra of everything. You may want to include some first aid supplies too like band aids, and ice packs for sore toes. Duct tape is absolutely crucial and its a lot cheaper!
Another must on your list should be a sewing kit for emergancies. Before your little dear goes on stage you want to make sure that all her sequins are intact, and if there are any holes or rips to get them stitched up in no time at all.
Keeping a dancers muscles warm help prevent injuries, so make sure your dancer has plenty of legwarmers! They look silly, but kids love them, and they do have a purpose!
Last and certainly not least you want keep the dancer hydrated. Dancing is a lot of work, and at the end of a class they will likely be very tired. So make sure there is a water bottle or two for re hydration. Snacks like trail mix and granola are an excellent way to re boost energy following a grueling dance class.
So there you have it, a few ins and out of ballet supplies that should be kept on hand at all times. Just remember, it doesn't have to cost a fortune!
